Susan began her career in the fashion, media/marketing sectors eventually moving into environmental work. Driven by a desire to help people and a passion to build connections, she quickly recognized the link between organizational success and employee experience. This sparked her entrance into HR leadership with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining top talent to strengthen organizational effectiveness, employee engagement and cultural development, working with fortune 500 brands globally.
Culture plays a significant role in achieving organizational outcomes, but HR alone is not culture. According to Zwaal, “The role of HR is to synthesize a vision and framework between leadership and people to guide the direction of culture and cultivate an environment where everyone thrives.” These are critical components for any organization’s long-term growth.
